Just beyond the Doughboy are three tall tablets with three identically worded inscriptions honoring those who gave their lives in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. On the backs of the tablets are 149 names for World War II, 6 for Korea and 24 for Vietnam.
Dedicated in 1926 and generally well maintained and in good condition.
According to the Angelina Veteran Service Officer, the rifle is a replacement that is a different model from the 1903 Springfield at other Doughboys.
By April, 2006, the once-missing bayonet had been replaced, but the rifle sling had disappeared.
