1931: BUST OF KNUTE ROCKNE

Viquesney researcher T. Perry Wesley mentioned a bust of famed Notre Dame University football coach Knute Rockne as one of the artist's many creations, but until September, 2018, neither a photo of one, nor any other information about it, had surfaced.
The piece was finally discovered in a misplaced box of items bought by antiques dealer Cindy Gibson, of Troy, Ohio. It is 4-5/8 inches tall, and is copyrighted 1931. As that was the year Rockne died, this piece was probably produced as a commemorative.
