''The Marine - The Yanks Again''
After the onset of WWII, in 1942 Viquesney created a series of WWII sculptures based on the theme "The Yanks Again". They were meant to represent four branches of the U.S. military: The marines, left; the navy, below, left; the army, below, center; and the air force, below, right. Shortly thereafter, Viquesney grouped the navy, army, and air force figures together in a piece called "Eagle's Watch - The Yanks Again", which portrays a huge American eagle protecting the three servicemen under its wings. The piece was originally released with the title "The Eagle's Brood".
The four stand-alone statuettes were titled "The Yanks Again on the Sea", "The Yanks Again on the Land", and "The Yanks Again in the Air", and "The Marine - The Yanks Again".
Despite Viquesney's fame as a war memorial designer, none of these pieces sold nearly as well as his flagship "Spirit of the American Doughboy", and are thus much rarer. They were also all made of plaster instead of cast metal, and thus were much more breakable.

Shortly after the start of WWII, Viquesney quickly produced the piece at left, "Remember Pearl Harbor" by obviously reworking the 11.5" plaster version of his earlier WWI Doughboy statuette, only now dressing it up in a WWII G.I. uniform.
