FLORIDA
There are seven, possibly eight WWI memorial statues in Florida associated with E. M. Viquesney. Clearwater and Palatka are two of seven locations in the country with paired sets of "The Spirit of the American Doughboy" and "The Spirit of the American Navy". Further, Palatka has two "Spirit of the American Doughboy" statues plus another Viquesney Doughboy of a differing design. Sarasota has a modern (1998) bronze copy-after, and Tavares has a Doughboy, also of a differing desighn, that is thought to be by Viquesney.
